A pair of early goals were enough to see off Perth Glory 2-1 on a cold afternoon at Ashfield Arena.   Ashley Rosindale and Kenny Keogh struck within ten minutes of each other to pave the way for Inglewood United’s thirteenth win of the season, a result which keeps Andy Keogh’s team on top of the National Premier Leagues.

“It was a good first half performance with couple of good goals,” coach Andy Keogh said.   “It was a tough game and I’m happy we didn’t slip up.   We could have had a couple more.   They could have also had a couple in the second half as they put on a good show, especially with an inexperienced young team.”

A fairly even opening to the game was punctuated on 13 minutes when Rosindale’s glancing header to Matthew Ntoumenopoulos’ free-kick came to rest inside the far post.   Rosindale very nearly had a second goal five minutes later but after meeting Brian Farrell’s delivery he could only watch as Nick Feely plucked the ball out of the air.

Inglewood, however, wouldn’t have to wait long before doubling their lead with Keogh squeezing his shot past the advancing goalkeeper following an incisive switch of play by Chok Dau.   Scott Blackmore looked destined to make it three-nil soon after before Feely instinctively threw out a glove to leave this opponent frustrated.

Bayley Brown-Montomgery gave Glory hope of a second half revival by drilling in at close-range after Alex Dunn parried Michael Domfeh’s shot.   But it was the visitors that would have added to their tally if not for Feely, who twice denied Keogh before standing up to substitute Brian Woodall in the final minute of play.
