Attacker Ash Rosindale is happy with the shape Inglewood United are taking ahead of their 2018 Night Series campaign. Inglewood will have home ground advantage when they face Floreat Athena in the opening round of the traditional pre-season tournament on Saturday 27 January (7.30pm).
“We are shaping up nicely for the Night Series,” Rosindale commented. “This is my third season with Inglewood and I feel we will be fitter and better organised than in previous years. We’ve also got the benefit of the core group of players being together for another year and that will help develop our understanding on the pitch.”
“There have been a few changes but overall the squad is similar to the one that finished last season. There may be a few more players come in between now and the start of the season, depending on where the coaches feel we need to add. But at the moment we are very happy with the squad we have and where it is at.”
“Andy (Keogh) and his coaching team have done a great job of planning and organising our pre-season. We worked hard prior to Christmas purely on fitness to get a solid base into us. Now we are moving into more technical and tactical work, and we’ve had a few friendlies to help get us match fit and become more familiar playing alongside each other.”
“The attitude of the lads has been fantastic. Everyone has been putting their best foot forward to impress the coaches and we are all raring to go for the Night Series. We had a great team spirit last year and there is a really positive vibe within the group again this year, which makes being at Inglewood United very enjoyable.”
