WOODALL KNOWS LITTLE ABOUT FORRESTFIELD

2018_03_31_Inglewood_vs_Sorrento_8919National Premier Leagues debutants Forrestfield United are a bit of a mystery to Brian Woodall.   The Inglewood United attacker admits that he has not seen play, nor does he know a great deal about the team he’ll come face-to-face with on Saturday afternoon at Perth Plasterboard Centre Stadium.

“I don’t really know anything about them,” Woodall commented of Forrestfield, who gained promotion from State League Division One last year.   “They’ve earnt their place in the league so it would be a mistake to consider them an easy game.   We’ll show them the same respect we do for any other team.”

“But we’re not concerned by Forrestfield, our focus is on us and what we have to do to get the win.   If we play our game and play to our strengths then we’re a very hard team to beat.    Unfortunately, we’ve not been consistent enough this year so we have a responsibility to make sure we perform on Saturday.”

Inglewood heads into the weekend on the back of a slump in form that has seen them collect one win from their last six league and cup outings.   “It has been frustrating as I feel like we have deserved better,” he said.   “We have played some good football but sometimes that’s not enough to win you games.”

“All the players are determined to turn our season around.   We need to put together a full team performance where we take full advantage of our chances and minimise our errors … I’m pretty sure it won’t be long before we will go on a winning streak and climb up the league ladder.”
