CLISBY JOINS CENTRAL COAST

2017_12_02_Western_Sydney_vs_Brisbane_Jack_ClisbyCentral Coast Mariners coach Mike Mulvey has made his first move in the transfer market by luring left-back Jack Clisby to the A-League club on a one-year deal.   The 26-year old defender joins the Mariners less than a fortnight after cutting ties with Western Sydney Wanderers, his club of the past two seasons.

“I can’t wait to get started with the Central Coast Mariners,” said Clisby, whose senior career ignited after starring for Inglewood United in 2012.   “I’m at a point in my career where I should be hitting peak form and I cannot wait to go out there and prove to everyone what I’m capable of.”

“I’ve got a few mates throughout the A-League who have played under Mike Mulvey and they all have nothing but positive things to say.   Mike’s building a great squad, we’ve got plenty of time to gel and it’s something I am really excited to be a part of … I wish pre-season started tomorrow to be honest.”

Clisby shot prominence by winning the 2012 Gold Medal after starring locally with Inglewood.   He signed his first professional deal soon after by joining Perth Glory and has gone on to chalk up 112 A-League, FFA Cup and Asian Champions League appearances through further spells at Melbourne City and Western Sydney.
