Inglewood United is delighted to confirm the appointment of Andres Oliveira as the Club’s new first team coach.   A six-time league championship winner and former State team representative, Oliveira takes up the reigns following last week’s departure of Trim Morgan.

Oliveira, 37, is no stranger to Inglewood after spending the past two seasons as part of the coaching team as an assistant.   “I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to our new first team coach, Andres Oliveira,” commented Inglewood president Cesare Colli.

“Andres is a young, energetic and modern coach whose dedication and approach will help us move forward in a confident, purposeful way.   He is a winner who knows what it takes to succeed at the highest level and is driven by success.   We are looking forward to seeing where Andres can take our Club.”

Oliveira was a key member of the domineering Perth SC side of the 2000s, playing nine seasons and winning five league championships with Azzurri.   That time was interrupted by two seasons at Floreat Athena and a winter in Victoria, where he helped South Melbourne to the 2006 league title.

Oliveira hung his playing boots up for the last time in 2012 and three years later turned his hand to coaching with Perth’s Under-18s.   He joined Inglewood for the 2017 season as an assistant to Taki Nicolaides, a role he continued last year under Andy Keogh.
