Inglewood United President Luke Martin has informed the clubs Executive that he will be stepping down from the role, effective immediately, for family reasons. The Club underwent much change during Martin’s 22-months at the helm, change which has put Inglewood in a strong position for ongoing growth and future success.
Martin took on the presidency in August 2013 at the bequest of Inglewood’s longest serving President, Siggy Kramer. At the time the Club was in need of re-structuring along with a new plan to take it forward in order to meet the challenges and requirements of the National Premier Leagues.
With the backing of his Executive, Martin oversaw significant growth in the Clubs’ junior ranks and the successful implementation of the Inglewood Football Institute and an annual youth team Tour of Spain. Off-field achievements include the overhaul of facility maintenance programmes and forward planning in regards to Club infrastructure.
The Club takes this opportunity to thank Luke for all his hard work, vision and passion in the name of Inglewood United. Luke can be proud that the Club now has the structure and a dedicated team of people in place to ensure its continued growth and success.
All the best to Luke, Nadia, Joel and Ben for the future – you will always be welcomed with open arms at Inglewood United.
