Inglewood United congratulates David Micevski, David Sesay and team captain Jovo Pavlovic on being named in an extended West Australian squad for next month’s friendly with Perth Glory. The Inglewood trio are among 26-players selected by State coach Chris Ola for the Glory clash at Dorrien Gardens on 19 August, along with a proposed outing against the State Amateur team on 10 October.
Micevski, a former Glory player, hasn’t looked back since linking with Inglewood on the eve of the home and away series. His creativity in the middle of the park are an established part of the clubs’ attacking artillery, while his knack for finishing moves has reaped 5 goals in 11 appearances. Micevski has been called up for State duty on four previous occasions.
Sesay has been a key member of the squad throughout his two seasons at Inglewood. Although only 23, he possesses an uncanny knack of opening up defences courtesy of his superb ball control and lightning pace. Sesay has played 47 times for Inglewood, scoring 7 goals, but he’ll wear State team colours for the first time against Glory.
Pavlovic is without a doubt one of the standout defenders of the 2015 National Premier Leagues season. Possessing a combative nature and a tireless work ethic, the imposing 25-year old has been a near ever-present for Michael Garcia with 22 appearances to date. This is the first State team called-up for Pavlovic, who has played in Bosnia, Indonesia and Hong Kong.
