The future stars of Inglewood United celebrated the season that was at the Clubs annual Junior Gala Presentation Dinner on Saturday night. Close to 450 players, parents, coaches, team and club officials gathered at the Vasto Club in Balcatta to honour the achievers and achievements of 2015.
“From the Mini-Roos to the U18’s development team, the Juniors had a fantastic year,” said juniors’ president Dave Ewen. “Our Juniors swelled to capacity numbers with the Club fielding more players and teams than ever before, and the Inglewood Football Institute provides players extra-curricular training from quality coaches.”
“The Spain tour was a successful and saw a great group of young players represent themselves well and enjoy an experience they will never forget. The Juniors have never been stronger and 2016 will only see that strength build. Thank you to everyone that has contributed to that success – You are Inglewood.”
Lexi Njirich’s dedication to Inglewood was recognised with the Siggy Kramer Junior Club Person of the Year. “Lexi has a great Club spirit,” commented Ewen. “She is willing to help at any time around the Club and has assisted in the canteen almost every weekend. Lexi always has a smile and a ‘Hello’ for whoever she meets.”
