BRING ON BAYSWATER URGES ROBERTSON

2017_02_12_Inglewood_vs_Subiaco_1474Tim Robertson is unconcerned by the prospect of facing Bayswater City in this weekend’s opening round of the National Premier Leagues.   In fact, Robertson cannot wait for the new season to get underway with the defender saying he is looking forward to seeing how Inglewood United stack up against the newly crowned Night Series winners.

“There is no opponent you would rather play in Round One,” Robertson said.   “Bayswater have been strong for a number of years and Sunday will give us a really good guide to see where we are at as a team.   Bayswater have an innate ability to win when they’re not having their best day, and they had a great Night Series.”

“They have a great balance of experience and youth and will no doubt bounce back into the top four this year.   But as a team we match up well with Bayswater.   We’ve added some strength and class to the squad in Alex Salmon and Brian Farrell and that will be important to our chances of going one better this year.”

“We’ve been working hard to make sure that we start the league how we want to.   I expect Sunday will be a tight game and there will be a few key decisive moments that will determine the result.   There is no doubt that we are up for it … hopefully we can repeat last year’s effort and ‘do the double’ over them again.”
