Exciting midfielder Ryan Clarke will come under the close scrutiny of Perth Glory coach Kenny Lowe when the A-League team travels to Perth’s southern suburbs this weekend. Clarke has been a key member of the Inglewood United throughout the past five years and Lowe has been sufficiently impressed to invite the 27-year old to trial for Glory.
“He’s been a quality player in the State League,” said Lowe. “I just want to see how he goes at training and see if he can lift a gear … nothing more, I’m not promising or committing to anything.” Clarke, who came close to landing a professional deal with Scottish club Greenock Morton last summer, is expected feature in Glory’s friendly with Rockingham City tomorrow (Sunday, 31 August) at Lark Hill Sportsplex, kick-off is at 3.00pm.
