Former Inglewood United player Jack Clisby says he can think of nowhere else that he would rather continue his career than Melbourne City after penning a new deal with the A-League club.   Clisby raised eyebrows with his move away from hometown club Perth Glory twelve months ago but has shown his value this season by playing every position in Melbourne’s back-line.

“I didn’t want to go anywhere else, this is the best club in the A-League for me,” said Clisby, who shot to prominence at the age of 20 by winning the prestigious Gold Medal with Inglewood in 2012.  “I feel like I’ve developed as a player since joining from Perth (Glory) … it’s been a good transition and I’m excited to continue that here.”

Clisby, 23, has been a regular fixture of Melbourne’s match day squad this season, featuring in 11 of their 13 league outings to date.   After making his mark locally with Inglewood, he stepped onto the national stage with Glory where he gained 31 appearances before transferring to Melbourne, where he’s tallied up a further 25 games in total.
