Dear Inglewood Family, Well, its that time again…

Dear Inglewood Family,

Well, its that time again… we are closing in on the Festive Holidays for 2014 and a time that the club goes into rest mode until 2015.

For those who have not realised yet, the club operates pretty much 12 months of the year, if we are not in football season, we are heavily planning off-season and in pre-season. Football is a 12 month sport.

This club is graced to have a committed group of individuals who see what this club is and what we can collectively achieve.
This club was never about the quality of the facilities, it was never about the great change rooms, the main pitch, the stadium or the club rooms, it is and will always be about people.

We have:
(a) Junior Committee
An exuberant group of people led by Dave Ewen (Junior President) with oodles of ideas and concepts on how we can be better. Unfortunately we are like no other club, we simply cannot do everything, therefore we will continuing to improve in moderation and in areas where we noticed a deficiency, everyone was able to see the changes in 2014, we will continue along this path.
What you see from our NPL squads, Development Squads and Mini Roos is all their input and hard work. Simply great work!

(b) Building Facilities & Maintenance Committee
A newly formed committee led by Mark Marazis who’s challenge is to upgrade facilities within the confines of the budget. No easy task let me tell you. They have recently been given the approval to resurface the bitumen at Entry & Carpark scheduled to occur in January 2015. Slowly we with this committee continue to improve our facilities.

(c ) Media Liaison & IT
Absolutely 2 of the greatest guys you will ever want to meet. Conscientious, forthright and seeking continued improvement. Brett & Nick, take a bow, you have put this club into peoples homes through social media and our web page.

(d) Coaching & TD
I have a tremendous amount of confidence in our coaching selections for NPL & Development squads, good people who can deliver the training and technical requirements to continually improve our players and test them.
The recent release of the Inglewood Football Institute was the hard work of Goran Stajic. 7 year olds – 12 year olds is the age group we need to spend more time in development, their minds are ready to adapt, craving for the good habits in football.

(e) Sponsorship Committee
Led by what I call now a friend, I recall the very first General Forum I held at the Club in late 2013, it wasn’t a great experience, Emmanuel Takoniatis was one of the first to lay in the proverbial “boot” as to the management of the club, and rightly so, Emmanuel was firstly in the Junior Committee and brought into the Executive Committee to take on the lead portfolio of Sponsorship… not an easy Portfolio

(e) Executive Committee
People who understand the club, people who have strong business acumen, people that understand Football, magic ingredients for success.

This club is a Ferrari raring to be let loose, its just sitting away in the garage idling, yes it will backfire a couple of times, yes it will choke at the lights… but wow, watch out when its on the road, you will be asking yourself “Was that Inglewood?”

If you are interested in sponsoring the club, or being a part of the Inglewood Community, drop us a line, we want your help, many hands make light work (something like that)

To all, a very safe and merry festive holiday.

See you in 2015.

Regards

Luke Martin
