DEMANDING SCHEDULE NOT OF CONCERN TO CYRUS

2018_03_17_Bayswater_vs_Inglewood_8745Defender David Cyrus is confident Inglewood United will emerge from playing twice in three days over the Easter long weekend with flying colours.   Inglewood has home ground advantage over Sorrento in the National Premier Leagues on Saturday and 48 hours later hosts ECU Joondalup in the FFA Cup.

It may seem a demanding schedule but Cyrus says his team have done their preparation and possesses the attitude that will get them the results they want.   “Playing two games in three days isn’t that unusual in the football world,” commented Cyrus, a Grenada international with considerable experience in England’s lower leagues.

“Pre-game preparation and post-game recovery are very important in terms of looking after your body and making sure you are giving yourself the best opportunity to perform again within 48 hours.   Strength and depth within the squad are important but they are important across the whole season.”

“We are fortunate to have a great playing group with a winning mentality.   As long as we go into both these games with the right mindset and a determination to come out with three points on Saturday then to qualify for the next round of the Cup on Monday, we will achieve what we set out to achieve.”
