EX-INGLEWOOD DEFENDER LOWRY SIGNS PROFESSIONAL DEAL

2012_09_15_ingle_v_perth_0109Former Inglewood United defender Ryan Lowry has stepped into the A-League by signing on with Wellington Phoenix for the 2016/17 summer.   22-year old Lowry, who made ten appearances for Inglewood in 2012, says he can’t wait to for the next stage of his career to start.

“This is a great opportunity for me and I am really grateful to the club and (Wellington) coach Ernie Merrick for giving it to me,” Lowry, brother of Perth Glory’s Shane Lowry, said.   “At my age I might not get another chance like this and I am determined to make the most of it.”

Lowry spent time in Leicester City’s Academy as a junior and played two seasons with Perth Glory Youth either side of his stint at Inglewood Stadium.   For the last three years he’s been a key feature of the ECU Joondalup squad, playing alongside Wellington goalkeeper Lewis Italiano during the recent winter.
