GHAZALI WANTS WINNING RUN TO START AT ARMADALE

2018_03_02_Inglewood_vs_Subiaco_8193Summer recruit Hanafi Ghazali views this weekend’s game at Armadale as the right time for Inglewood United to re-ignite their season.   Inglewood enters the fifth round of the National Premier Leagues with one win and two draws to their name, a record that has them sitting in eighth position and seven points off top spot.

Armadale, however, will be just as eager to collect the points from Alfred Skeet Oval on Saturday.   The Reds started their league campaign positively but in recent weeks have lost some of that momentum with back-to-back losses, to Perth SC and Stirling Lions, slipping them to ninth spot on the ladder.

While mindful of Armadale’s situation, Ghazali says his team has one objective this weekend and that is to get their second win.   “Coming off two straight losses, any team would be reflective about themselves,” Ghazali commented.   “We are aware of that and respect the motivation it will give Armadale.”

“But our focus is on ourselves and what we need to do because we want our performances to determine our results.   We are going to Armadale with the intention of getting maximum points on the board, gaining some momentum and going on a run of wins that puts us where we want to be.”

“Looking back on our games so far, we’ve been hard to beat and that is a testament to the team’s mental strength as well as the depth of our squad.   The manager has flexibility with his game plan because there is enough quality within the players and that will essential to us in striving for silverware this season.”
