HEALING WARY OF FORRESTFIELD

2018_06_17_Inglewood_vs_Bayswater_1032Ellis Healing says Inglewood United cannot afford to underestimate Forrestfield United when they meet on Saturday evening.   Inglewood heads into the fifth-to-last game of the regular season in fifth spot and determined to move up the ladder a rung or three.

Forrestfield are also in a battle, but of a very different kind.   The eastern corridor club have found the going tough in their inaugural National Premier Leagues season and, with a handful of games to play, hover only two points above the relegation zone.

Healing says it would be foolish to take Forrestfield lightly.   “Forrestfield are just as dangerous as any other team we are going to play this season,” commented the 24-year old midfielder.   “There hasn’t been an easy game all season so we’ll prepare for this the same way we do for any other.”

The closeness of this year’s league is reflected at the top of the ladder where five teams remain in the mix for silverware.   Perth Glory currently leads the way but Perth SC, Cockburn City, Bayswater City and Inglewood are all within distance of overtaking the leaders.

“I’m not at all surprised with how tight the top end of the league is,” Healing added.   “Each team has quality and there’s not a lot that separates one from the other.   We want to challenge for the title and also cement our place in the top four so it’s vital we get the three points on Saturday.”
