INGLEWOOD FOCUSED FOR MUST-WIN GAME: WOODALL

Brian Woodall says Inglewood United’s focus is fully on themselves and not Balcatta on the eve of the final game of the National Premier League regular season.   Victory tomorrow at Grindleford Reserve will secure Inglewood’s participation in the Top Four Cup for a third successive year.

However, getting that win will be easier said than done against a Balcatta side fighting for their top-flight survival.   Woodall is wary of the danger this presents but the 30-year old attacker is equally confident Inglewood will enter the game in the right frame of mind.

“It’s a must-win game for us,” Woodall said.   “We set out at the start of the season to make the top four and we have put ourselves in a good position to finish there.   It’s possible a number of teams can sneak past us on the last day but we’ll do everything we can to not let that happen.”

“There have been a few of twists and turns in our season, and at times we’ve let ourselves down.   We’re not concerned what might have been – our focus is on winning the game ahead of us.   That’s not going to be easy, Balcatta have a lot riding on the outcome so we’ll need to be at our best.”

“We’re coming off a big win (7-1 over Joondalup United), we’ve had a great week at training and we are prepared for Saturday.   I have confidence in the player group and if we show up and perform there is nothing to stop us finishing the season with the three points we need.”
