Inglewood United have been bundled out of the FFA Cup 3-1 by ECU Joondalup on a warm afternoon at Perth Plasterboard Centre Stadium. Brian Woodall gave Inglewood an early lead but that was as good as it got as the northerners piled on three unanswered goals to secure their place in the next round.
A tidy 14th minute move put Inglewood in the box seat as Woodall finished with aplomb at the front post from Kenny Keogh’s delivery. However, that lead lasted all of two minutes before Lukas Da Lima clipped into the net from 22-metres having spotted goalkeeper Alex Dunn off his line.
Joondalup grabbed the lead just before the hour when Daryl Nicol’s free-kick was swept in at close-range by Cian Hirrell. And it was through another set piece that the game was put beyond Inglewood’s reach, Adam Tong heading in at the far post after meeting Andy Higgins’ corner.
