Long-serving attacker Kenny Keogh is glad to be back out on the park with his team mates.   Inglewood United commenced preparations for the 2019 National Premier Leagues season in mid-November with a series of conditioning and strengthening sessions under the guidance of Esat Bilaloski at Green Zone Fitness.

A fortnight ago Inglewood United’s players swapped the gymnasium for the football field, where new coach Trim Morgan and assistant Willie Kelly have been calling the shots.   And while pre-season training has been tough, something not helped by summer heat, 31-year old Keogh could not be happier.

“I think I can speak for the all the lads when I say it’s definitely much better to be out and about playing ball,” Keogh said.   “The pre-season here is always in the heat – no one looks forward to that – and the training ground has been very hard to so getting the body right and dealing with blisters has been a challenge.”

“But it’s been great being with your team mates again, getting to know the new players and getting back into the swing of things.   Trim and Willie are very disciplined and take no-nonsense, they’ve been working us really hard and that will set us in good stead for the coming season … there are some exciting times ahead.”
