KEOGH RATES ATTACK AS “BEST IN THE LEAGUE”

2017_05_13_Inglewood_vs_Floreat_3595Having watched his team dismantle National Premier Leagues leaders Floreat Athena, coach Andy Keogh believes he possesses the best attacking options in the competition.   Inglewood United produced arguably their best performance of the season to date on Saturday when Brian Woodall, Kenny Keogh and captain David Cyrus found the net in a memorable 3-0 victory.

There was barely a moments rest for Floreat across the 90 minutes as Alex Salmon, Woodall, Keogh and Ashley Rosindale worked tirelessly in their search for goals.   That performance pleased Keogh who praised his teams’ attacking efforts in his first home game since being appointed just over a fortnight ago.

“It’s was a thoroughly deserved win,” Keogh said on Monday’s edition of ‘Let’s Talk Football’.   “It was a long time coming, there’s been six or seven games this year where we’ve missed two or three open nets (but) they showed on Saturday that they are the best forward line in the league.”

“Brian for his ability on the ball, Ash with a low centre of gravity, Kenny’s got pace and power and Alex is a poacher, so we’ve got a good blend there.   The lads rotate, they get in and about where they want to be.”   Saturday’s win puts Inglewood in fifth position on the ladder at the home and away season mid-point.
