Inglewood United stretch their unbeaten league run to twelve games with this today’s 10-2 annihilation of Mandurah City at Securitas Protect Stadium. Hat-tricks from teenagers Hamza Hina and Chok Dau were complimented by Victor Bruner’s double and singles to Alex Salmon and Jason Barrera swept the away team to a memorable victory.
The game was only minutes old when Inglewood’s account was opened by Salmon, who out-paced the home defence before finishing with composure across veteran goalkeeper Cyril Sharrock. Some tidy work on the right by Dau paved the way for Brauner to double the lead in the 10th minute with an exquisite curling shot.
Ryan Francis pulled a goal back form the home side midway through the half, sliding the ball in at close-range. Hina then stepped into the spotlight with a Goal of the Season contender, the 19-year old linking to terrific effect with Salmon before out-witting a trio of defenders and firing into the net.
The show continued after the interval. Brauner made it four-one with a delightful right-foot finish from 15-metres after Salmon showed some lovely footwork in the lead-up. Hina followed his teammates lead by cutting in from the left and bamboozling his marker before rifling into the top corner.
Mandurah managed to peg another goal back through Francis in the 66th minute but Inglewood were far from finished. Dau added his name to the scoresheet eight minutes later by responding quickest to a loose ball which he took forward and slotted past Sharrock.
Hina beat the offside trap and although Sharrock blocked his shot there was nothing the Mandurah custodian could do to prevent his opponent from tapping for a deserved hat-trick. A moment of pure magic from substitute Brian Woodall saw him play a defence-splitting pass which Dau finished into the net from a narrow angle.
A minute later Feisal Zaw, who had also come off the bench, took the ball down the right and squared for Dau to tap his third goal into an open net. The final whistle was moments away when Hina and Barrera exchanged a series of passes before the latter sent the ball into Sharrock’s net for the tenth time.
