The game promises to be an absolute cracker with two of the Sunday competitions’ powerhouse sides determined to lift the first trophy of the new season.

There was no stopping Gwelup’s forward line in the tournaments’ preliminary rounds with 19 goals scored across three games to give them top spot in Group B. Shamrock Rovers put an end to that in last weekend’s semi-finals, earning a 1-1 draw only to surrender to Gwelup 6-5 on penalties.

Fremantle Croatia made clear their desire to go all the way in the tournament by taking out Group A without loss. The port side’s campaign threatened to unravel in the round of four but a late goal saw them prevail 5-4 in a seesawing encounter with Joondalup United.

Gwelup and Fremantle go head-to-head in the Amateur Night Series Final on Friday 20 March (8.30pm kick-off) at Inglewood Stadium. The feature game follows the play-off for third and fourth between Shamrock and Joondalup, which commences at 6.15pm.
