Inglewood United have been dealt a blow with popular utility Tim Robertson ruling himself out of the remainder of the 2017 season. Robertson, who can play on the right side of defence or midfield, advised the club late last week that a change in his work schedule meant he was no longer able to commit to Inglewood.
Robertson, 23, joined the club twelve months ago and quickly became an integral member of coach Taki Nicolaidis’ match day line-up, making 29 appearances and scoring three goals. “While at Inglewood Tim established himself as a very accomplished right-sided defender who loved going forward with his penetrating runs,” Nicolaidis said.
“During the six years I’ve worked with him Tim has shown his versatility in being able to play in almost every role on the pitch, and many times has been a go-to person to fill in gaps and putting the team first. A player with that much flexibility is hard to come by and will be sorely missed at Inglewood.”
Inglewood thanks Tim for the valuable contribution he made to our club and we wish him all the best for the future.
