STANOJEVIC “VERY EXCITED’ BY INGLEWOOD’S BRIGHT FUTURE

2016_10_06_alex_stanojevic_0587Alex Stanojevic is looking forward to playing his part in establishing Inglewood United at the top of the National Premier Leagues pecking order.   Boasting two decades experience and a wealth of knowledge in the area of youth development, Stanojevic was confirmed as our new Technical Director late last month.

It’s a role that gives Stanojevic, 51, responsibility for the development of players and coaches throughout the club.   He will work closely with our junior and youth coaches at all level to develop and deliver better coaching programs, which underpins how well Inglewood’s talented youngster develop and progress.

“I’m very excited to be appointed Technical Director,” Stanojevic said.   “I’ve been at Inglewood United for two years and have the feeling the club is going to be a dominate force in the National Premier Leagues.   I’m keen to be part of that and establish myself as a coach and administrator in West Australia.”

“Inglewood has a rich history, culture and tradition in West Australian football and everyone at the club – from the president and football operations team through to the coaches, players and parents – all live and breathe football.   They have all showed faith in me as a coach and now it’s time for me to support them as Technical Director.”

Stanojevic views his new role as the natural next step in a coaching career which stretches back twenty years.   A Football Federation Australia ‘B’ Licence holder, his background is highlighted by a five-year spell at Brisbane City, where he coached boys and girls teams, as well as a stint with the West Ham United Academy.

“I’m ready to transfer my knowledge to the younger coaches and implement a junior development program which will feed the senior teams for years to come,” he said.   “Developing the junior players and coaches within the club will ensure a sustainable future and make Inglewood United the ‘club of choice’ for junior players and coaches a like.”

“My focus will be on the Under-12 to the Under-16 age groups while supporting the Inglewood Football Institute, the Miniroos and the Development squads.   At the root of that will be ensuring players, parents and coaches enjoy their football in a well-organised environment that allows them to excel and achieve their goals on and off the field.”
