Inglewood United’s FFA Cup dream is alive and well after cruising to a 3-0 win over spirited Division One side UWA-Nedlands at Inglewood Stadium. Michael Garcia has set his sights on a lengthy run in the prestigious knock-out competition and this afternoon’s showing, by an experimental line-up, will give the coach confidence that goal can be achieved.

The UWA defence stood their ground for much of the first half but nine minutes from the break Scott Blackmore found the back of the net to reward Inglewood’s focus on attack. Soon after the resumption Scott Witschge gave the home team further breathing space with Shane Pickering sealing the win five minutes from the final whistle.
