With great regret and condolences to the Kramer family

ASC_6244What do you say about a man that was always there for the club and me personally? Words such as stalwart, confidant and champion of the game, does not give Siggy Kramer the man, the person, justice.

Siggy was many things to Inglewood United SC, I can continue on here describing the many accolades and achievements that he so rightfully and deservedly achieved in the game over sixty years with Inglewood United, but I won’t, these will be said over many occasions, when remembering this great man’s life.

What I will do is describe Siggy from my and this clubs perspective.

Loyal.
Sixty years with one club, as a player, coach, committee member and President. Unheard of in today’s fast paced and hectic lives that we all lead. A lesson to us all. The Club always came first to Siggy.

Benefactor.
His passion for the club to succeed on and off the field was instrumental to this clubs foundations. He continually assisted in all matters of fund raising for the club. I should know I was stung a few times with sponsorships, always with the clear intent of the club succeeding.

Passionate.
He was passionate about the growth of the game, and more importantly Inglewood United SC. He had an unnerving knack of convincing people to undertake tasks, that at first appeared to be somewhat antiquated, but these ideas were always carried out to fruition and with great success.

Friend.
He was most importantly a friend, not just to me, but to all he came in contact with. Advice was freely given, a handshake was always offered.

Never mind the catch cry of a “gentleman of the game”. Siggy WAS the one true Gentleman, in a world where they are few and far between.

Siggy, you will be sorely missed sitting upstairs in the VIP room, criticising the referees performance, whilst in a lively and motivated manner entertaining our club sponsors.

You will always remain in our hearts, and in this clubs soul.
We hope that the Inglewood players are able to pull off a win this weekend in your honour.

Our sincerest and deepest condolences go out to the Kramer family and his many friends.
We feel your pain for his loss.
