Midfielder Feisal Zaw admits he’s become frustrated by his lack of first team football. The 23-year old is yet to start in the National Premier Leagues this season, appearing seven times from the bench for an Inglewood United side that has risen up to fourth on the competition ladder.
Zaw, however, is far from downhearted and has vowed to continue fighting for his spot in coach Andy Keogh’s line-up. “It’s a squad game and I understand I can’t always get on the pitch,” commented Zaw, who was an unused substitute in Saturday’s 3-2 win over Armadale.
“Being the only player to have not started a game this season is definitely frustrating though, it’s hard to prove yourself in five or ten-minute stints. I feel luck hasn’t been on my side this season. When we were struggling I was out injured; we’re playing well now and it’s difficult to get into the eleven.”
“What that shows is we have good competition for spots and Andy has players he can call on when needed. I’m hoping my opportunity comes sometime before the season ends as I was to be playing and contributing to the team in our push for the league title.”
