The Inglewood Football Institute continues to go from strength to strength with confirmation Rodney Njirich has joined the coaching team for the inaugural program. Njirich is well respected within junior coaching circles and will work alongside Goran Stajic in delivering training sessions for the Institute, which commence early next month.
“The Institute has a passionate and committed group of people behind it and I’m excited to be part of the team,” said Njirich who doubles as Inglewood United’s Juniors Coordinator. “I’ll be concentrating on the 5 to 10 age groups, the discovery stages, on Friday afternoons. It will be busy, but I’m looking forward to developing players’ love for the sport in a fun and supportive environment.”
The Institute offers age-appropriate coaching to boys and girls aged between 5 and 15 years old in line with Football Federation Australia’s National Curriculum, with a focus on controlled ball possession and attacking football. “The programs we’ll be delivering will send junior players down the right pathway to building better players,” Njirich commented.
Njirich, an AFC ‘C’ License holder, will work within the FAST framework, where the emphasis is on Fun, Activity, Safety and Teaching. Those in the older age groups will participate in the PASS program which focuses on Passion, Attitude, Sacrifice and Success.
