Inglewood United commemorated the achievements of the recent winter with a full house at their 2014 Gala and Presentation Dinner late last week. Players, team and club officials, supporters and dignitaries gathered on Friday at Crown Casino’s Astral One Room for a night to remember.
It was a great success with all enjoying the event,” said club president Luke Martin. “It was a chance for players, supporters and members alike to let their hair down and celebrate the highs whilst pondering on the lows.”
“Our distinguished guests – the Honourable Michael Sutherland, City of Stirling Mayor Giovanni Italiano and Football West Chairman Liam Twigger – enjoyed the night and each commented on the new direction being taken by the club,” Martin added.
The tone was set for an entertaining evening by comedian George Kapiniaris. Highlights of the season were shown on the big screen amid the first team Players Review, trophy presentations and a heartfelt tribute to club Siggy Kramer, who sadly passed away in July.
With dinner served and the formal part of the evening over, many took the opportunity to shake some action on the dance floor. Inglewood would like to thank everyone who contributed to the club this year, and we look forward to having you around again in 2015.
