Inglewood United Football Club has taken out the 2021 NPL Night Series championship, after a thrilling victory in the final match.
Playing Perth Soccer Club at Dalmatinac Park, our boys dominated most of the game to finish 2-0.
A goal by Robert Petkov 32 minutes into the first half set the team up for victory, with a late goal by Scott Blackmore in the second half sealing the win.
First team coach Andres Oliveira said it a great win for the team.
“The whole club is stoked. Every team aims for the trophy and we’ve been so close for the last five years and we finally got over the hurdle,” he said.
Inglewood United last won the Night Series in 2005, when they won against Swan I.C. 3–0.
