Inglewood United have accepted Andy Keogh’s decision to stand down from the first team coach position, effective immediately.   However, Keogh’s knowledge and experience will not be lost to Inglewood with the 32-year old to remain actively involved at the club in another capacity.

“On behalf of the Executive Committee, I thank Andy for the invaluable contribution he has made to Inglewood United,” said club President Cesare Colli.   “He has always been professional in his approach to the game, and we valued and enjoyed working with him.

“Andy, like us, was disappointed with how the 2018 season panned out for Inglewood.   He recognised he is unable to devote the time required to coach at this level at the current time and, as such, felt it to be in his and the club’s best interests that he steps down.”

“As a club, we did not want to lose Andy and were delighted to learn of his desire to stay involved with Inglewood.   What form that involvement takes has not yet been discussed.   We will sit down with Andy in the following weeks and come to an agreement which is beneficial to both him and the club.”

Keogh was appointed first team coach in April 2017, eleven months after joining Inglewood as an assistant coach.   Under his guidance Inglewood placed second in last year’s National Premier Leagues participated in the Top Four Cup series.   Inglewood finished the recently completed league season in fifth spot.
