Inglewood United has continued its off-season activity with the recruitment of Mark Barnett. The 22-year old defender returns to Inglewood fresh from a five-month spell at Scottish Premiership club Heart of Midlothian and following three productive years with Forrestfield United.

“I’m very excited to be joining Inglewood for a second time,” commented Barnett. “The Club has a great culture and a great bunch of lads full of quality. Inglewood has been very competitive over the last few seasons and I want to be part of the push for the league title under Trim Morgan.”

Barnett has matured greatly since he was with Inglewood in 2015, when medical reasons restricted him to only three senior appearances. “I improved greatly with consistent first team game time at Forrestfield and I recently returned from Scotland after extended trials with Hearts,” he explained.

“I want to continue my development next season by playing as many first team games as possible and focusing of the consistency of my performances. I hate losing – all I want is to win and to enjoy it in the process. I’m excited to link back-up with the old and the new faces at Inglewood United … I can’t wait to get started!”
